Do I Need A Lawyer For Estate Planning, Or Can I Hire Someone Else?
If you want it done correctly, you need to hire get a lawyer to do it. If some who is not a lawyer drafts your estate plan, then they are likely committing unauthorized practice of law. The only people entitled to draft your estate plan for you are either you or an attorney. So getting a paralegal or a friend or someone else to do it, whether they know what they are doing or not, they are actually practicing law without a license and may mess up your estate plan. So I would say hire an attorney to help you out unless you absolutely can't. But if you can't, then you need to do it yourself.
